Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, has reaffirmed his unwavering faith in God’s power to make all things possible.
During a surprise visit to the Breman Assikuma Assembly of The Church of Pentecost on Sunday, as part of his campaign tour, Dr. Bawumia drew inspiration from a scripture emphasizing God’s immense power to bring about anything. He expressed his strong belief that, with God, his path to becoming president in 2025 is possible.
There are many things beyond human ability, but we trust that God can do everything. As the Bible says in Matthew 19:26, Jesus reminds us that what is impossible for man is possible with God. So, whatever we do, we must place our faith and trust in Him. When we do that, things will work out,
Dr. Bawumia told the congregation.
He also called for prayers for peaceful elections in December, stressing that elections should not be about insults or violence but rather a platform for expressing views and making choices.
We all desire peace in our country. Elections are not about fighting or hurling insults. It’s about sharing ideas and making decisions, and in the end, God’s will shall be done. I ask for your prayers for the nation, that God will continue to bless us with the peace we enjoy because, without peace, there can be no development. We are in politics to serve, and we pray for God’s continued protection over our country.
As we pray for the peace of Ghana, I also ask for your prayers and support for myself, so that by God’s grace, the next time I return here, it will be as President of the Republic of Ghana, as I strive to serve this nation,
he concluded.
