Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has reiterated his strong faith in God’s ability to direct human endeavors.
Dr. Bawumia continued his campaign tour in the Greater Accra Region on Sunday 01/09/2024, making unexpected stops at a number of churches in the Weija Constituency.
His visits included the Jerusalem Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, the Holiness Pentecostal Church in New Gbawe, the Church of Pentecost in Ayigbe Town, Kasoa Area, and the Church of Pentecost’s Mandela Assembly in New Weija.
Dr. Bawumia stressed in his sermons to the congregations his belief that “all things are possible with God” and that “it is God who installs leaders.” He continued, quoting scripture to back up his statement, saying, “We will labor in vain unless the Lord builds the house.”
“This is why I put God first in everything I do, because as Jesus Christ said, with God, all things are possible,” Dr. Bawumia reiterated.
In addition, he asked the congregation to pray for divine favor for both Jerry, the NPP’s local parliamentary candidate, and for himself.
Dr. Bawumia also urged all parties involved to put the maintenance of Ghana’s peace first, emphasizing that stability must come first, even though the 2024 election will be significant for the future of the nation.
