The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has praised Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for his humble nature.
The Asantehene, who has known Dr Bawumia for a significant period, emphasized that despite holding political power, the former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana has remained grounded and humble. This commendation from such a respected figure highlights Dr Bawumia’s character and integrity.
During a courtesy visit to the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday, June 12, the Asantehene expressed his admiration for the humility of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
I have known you, political power has not changed you, you are still humble, keep being humble. Continue to treat Ghanaians with respect and humility and explain to them what you want to do for them. I know you can do the job if Ghanaians vote for you.
Dr Bawumia commenced his visit to the Ashanti region on Monday, June 9th. During his tour, he engaged with merchants at the Suame Magazine on Tuesday, June 11th.
It was an electrifying experience on Tuesday as traders, artisans, the youth and the residents of the Ashanti Region massively reaffirmed their belief in my and the NPP’s vision for Ghana’s future.
Ashanti Region has always been a pillar of strength and diverse opinions, and this was on full display as I interacted with artisans at Suame, traders at the Central market, engaged the citizenry at Asafo and strongly connected to the youth at the Jubilee Park.
Indeed, it is possible!
