President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has emphasized to the citizens of Ghana that John Dramani Mahama’s tenure as President did not warrant a second term.
He asserts that since Mahama was deemed unworthy of re-election in 2016, he similarly should not be considered for another term following the 2024 elections.
Furthermore, President Akufo-Addo contends that Mahama is engaged in an effort to rehabilitate his public image, under the assumption that the Ghanaian populace has overlooked his past performance.
Because they believe that we have short memories, we don’t remember their record. We remember their record. The record of failure.
Referring to the various presidents of Ghana throughout the years, he noted that, with the exception of Atta Mills, who has passed away, John Dramani Mahama is the sole president to have served a single term due to his inadequate performance in office.
The President underscored that the citizens of Ghana will not forget John Mahama’s unfavorable record, as the NPP will persist in reminding them of his shortcomings during his presidency.
It is only one President whose record did not merit a second term, and you and I know who I am talking about. It’s the man who wants to come back to save his image because he believes Ghanaians have forgotten his records. Mr candidate, your record cannot be forgotten. We cannot allow that record to be forgotten.
