The Ghana Zongos for Bawumia group has kicked off an intense house-to-house campaign in the Ayawaso North Constituency.
Led by regional executives, with the support of Issa Abubakar, Zonal Coordinator of Alidu Electoral Area, and Alhaji Manaf Mohammed, former parliamentary candidate in the 2020 elections, the group is focused on strengthening grassroots connections, raising voter awareness, and building support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential bid.
Ayawaso North, a key constituency in the Greater Accra Region, has traditionally been a National Democratic Congress (NDC) stronghold, making it a critical battleground for political parties.
During a recent engagement in the constituency, Alhaji Manaf emphasized that “Dr. Bawumia’s tenure as Vice President has given him the knowledge and experience needed to lead as President. He’s ready to step up and make well-informed decisions.”
He further highlighted Bawumia’s role in shaping impactful policies and programmes that have benefited the community as Vice President.
Alhaji Manaf expressed confidence in the possibility of ‘breaking the eight’ and urged voters to cast their ballots for both the presidential and parliamentary candidates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The group plans to revisit Ayawaso North before the general election, but in the meantime, their house-to-house campaign will continue across other constituencies nationwide.
